This precast concrete dual occupancy industrial complex located on Victoria Ave at Wetherill Park suffered fire and water damage in 2012.
A substantial portion of the steel frame, precast concrete panels and glazed shop fronts was damaged. The roof, internal fit out, electrical and mechanical services were completely destroyed by the fire and subsequently demolished and completely reconstructed.
Scope of works included initial assessment of damage and building consultancy advice in respect to current legislative requirements. During design phases, the building was redesigned to satisfy these legislative requirements.
The project was heavily driven by time constraints due to tenancy lease requirements, where adaptive building techniques were used to minimise costs and time constraints.
