The Skin & Cancer Foundation Australia established in 1976 as a registered charity and is an independent, self-funded organisation with dermatology clinics at both Darlinghurst and Westmead and a specialist Mohs Micrographic day surgery unit which is the largest in the southern hemisphere. The Skin & Cancer Foundation’s new facilities at Darlinghurst contain state of the art surgery units, consultation rooms, laboratories and research rooms as well as the organisation’s administration.
Forge is Project Managing the redevelopment of the previous Hard Rock Cafe building on Crown St, Darlinghurst to provide the foundations new Headquarters. The building has been taken back to its structural core with the addition of a third storey and new fitout of the entire facility to provide a state-of-the-art clinic, laboratory, NSW Health Department Certified day theatre facilities, as well as retail, commercial and car parking.
Forge was appointed as a replacement Project Manager after the initially appointed contractor went into administration. Forge have facilitated the transition of a new contractor to complete the remaining works within the original project program.
